We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MERIT Critical Care Doctor to deliver high-quality care to critically ill and injured patients.
Main Responsibilities- Respond to critically ill and injured patients across the region, delivering a wide range of pre-hospital care, including critical care interventions.
- Work alongside Specialist Paramedics (Critical Care) to deliver care to critically ill and injured patients.
- Provide medical advice and support to Yorkshire Ambulance Service crews via phone.
- Support the Ambulance Tactical Commander during major incidents, providing medical advice and support.
- Provide support and mentorship to Specialist Paramedics (Critical Care) and other team members.
- Deliver high-quality pre-hospital care to critically ill and injured patients.
- Work effectively with Specialist Paramedics (Critical Care) to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide timely and accurate medical advice and support to Yorkshire Ambulance Service crews.
- Support the Ambulance Tactical Commander during major incidents, ensuring effective coordination of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of pre-hospital care protocols and guidelines.
- Minimum of five years' broad Immediate Care Experience.
- Ability to deliver Pre-Hospital Critical Care in line with current service capabilities.
- Registered Consultant or equivalent grade with a current license to practice and no restrictions.
- Annual appraisals leading to revalidation.
- Regular experience of the delivery of acute and critical care to a wide range of undifferentiated Emergency Cases.
- Diploma in Immediate Medical Care (Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh) or equivalence.
- Experience of working in a pre-hospital critical care system.
