Procurement Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to support our procurement and site teams in sourcing and purchasing materials, products, plant, and services for high-end residential projects across Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing materials and services at competitive prices and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain supplier relationships and identify new suppliers meeting quality standards.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
- Monitor costs and manage inventory levels to align with budget and project needs.
- Coordinate plant equipment scheduling and ensure maintenance records are up-to-date.
Systems & Processes:
- Manage daily orders through Zahara and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in securing cost-effective rates and liaise with accounts for invoice queries.
- Maintain records of hired and owned plant, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee PAT testing and manage transportation of plant and materials.
Personal Profile:
We are looking for a proactive, self-directed, and detail-oriented individual with strong knowledge of construction materials and plant. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in construction procurement and established relationships with suppliers. Excellent interpersonal skills, numeracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential.
