In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating client investment portfolios and accounts to deliver FCA compliant guidance on various financial matters, including pension transitions, investment bond liquidations, tax implications, and the appropriateness of account structures. This position requires direct client interaction, where you will engage in comprehensive discussions, prepare detailed suitability reports, and communicate financial strategies to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to assess their financial goals, portfolio assets, timeframes, liquidity requirements, and overall financial health to formulate appropriate asset allocation strategies.
- Analyze and develop tailored plans for clients with unique financial circumstances.
- Examine clients' current pension and investment bond setups to ascertain the suitability of potential transfers or liquidations.
- Deliver financial advice directly to clients, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Draft comprehensive proposals and recommendations for asset transfers and present these to clients for confirmation of comprehension.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance client outcomes by creating new resources and offering training.
- Comply with the Training & Competence (T&C) framework to maintain regulatory standards in the provision of financial advice.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a Level 4 Qualification such as the CII Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning or the CISI Investment Advice Diploma is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in the financial services sector is essential.
- A robust understanding of Financial Planning principles and client suitability is required.
- Strong analytical skills are necessary.
- Completion of an initial Fit and Proper (F&P) assessment is mandatory before independently performing the role, with annual assessments required to ensure ongoing compliance.
