About the Role
The Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a skilled Employment Adviser to join their team. As an Employment Adviser, you will play a crucial role in providing advice, guidance, and support to individuals recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction who require assistance to move into employment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop close links with partnerships, and a customer-focused approach. Ideally, you will have knowledge of working with people who have barriers to accessing the labor market, employment policies, procedures, and welfare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to individuals recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction
- Develop close links with partnerships, including other GCC teams, welfare to work providers, and employers
- Work with local employers to match their needs to the abilities of individuals
- Develop your understanding of local labor-market demographics
- Contribute to the development of the Employment and Skills Hub
