Senior Ecologist

About the Role
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for overseeing and undertaking a range of field survey work, preparing fee proposals and managing projects, and writing technical reports such as ecological appraisals, EIA chapters, and licence applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys and assessments to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts.
- Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impacts.
- Prepare and submit technical reports and proposals to clients and regulatory bodies.
- Manage and coordinate projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to provide high-quality ecological consultancy services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ecological consultancy, with a strong background in field survey work and project management.
- Excellent technical skills, with the ability to prepare and submit high-quality technical reports and proposals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
