Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Electrical Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine and set engineering priorities to optimize plant performance.
  • Ensure all engineering activities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Allocate resources and materials effectively to meet maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor engineering teams and contractors to ensure work is carried out to plan.
  • Manage staff training and development to create a safety-conscious and technically competent workforce.
  • Lead initiatives to improve engineering practices and plant performance.
  • Prepare and submit proposals for minor capital and major maintenance.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out system to support fault resolution and breakdowns.

Requirements:

  • Solid practical background in electrical engineering with supervisory experience.
  • Electrical safety and safe systems of work.
  • Design of electrical systems.
  • PLCs and SCADA systems.
  • Digital drives and motor control.
  • Distribution systems and switching.
  • Electronic systems such as load cells and tensiometers.
