Actuarial Analyst

We're seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our data-driven team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our risk management and pricing strategies.

• Design and implement advanced predictive models to identify and mitigate risks in our insurance portfolio.
• Collaborate with data scientists and actuaries to develop and deploy machine learning algorithms that drive business insights and inform pricing decisions.
• Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends and patterns that inform our risk management and pricing strategies.
• Develop and maintain complex statistical models to estimate claims outcomes, fraud, and other risk-related metrics.

• Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Professional actuarial exams and a strong understanding of actuarial principles and practices.
• 1-3 years of experience in actuarial analysis, data science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R, and experience with SQL.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
