We are seeking a motivated public health consultant with extensive screening expertise to contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programmes.
  • Work with the Screening Oversight and Assurance Scotland (SOAS) team to ensure effective screening services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions and systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland.

Requirements:

  • Membership of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent.
  • Registration on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in Public Health with a licence to practise, or on the UK Public Health (Specialist) Register.
  • Substantial experience of working at consultant level within national screening programmes.
