About the Role:
National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating at the heart of NHSScotland, providing strategic and operational support to deliver high-quality services. We are seeking a motivated public health consultant with extensive screening expertise to contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programmes.
- Work with the Screening Oversight and Assurance Scotland (SOAS) team to ensure effective screening services.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions and systems.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland.
Requirements:
- Membership of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent.
- Registration on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in Public Health with a licence to practise, or on the UK Public Health (Specialist) Register.
- Substantial experience of working at consultant level within national screening programmes.
