Job Title: ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) Technician

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a skilled ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and commissioning new plant equipment to relevant standards, diagnosing and repairing faults in systems and plants, and proactively identifying and reporting follow-up work or areas for enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, modify, and commission new plant equipment to relevant standards
  • Diagnose and repair faults in systems and plants
  • Proactively identify and report follow-up work or areas for enhancement
  • Investigate plant failures and implement subsequent repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Experience with PLCs and SCADA systems and communication network systems, instrumentation including flow, level, pressure, etc.
  • Qualifications: HNC level or City and Guilds Part 2 or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an instrumentation, control and automation discipline
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces with successful completion of the appropriate training
