About the Role:

PK Education is seeking highly motivated and dedicated psychology graduates to join our team as temporary support staff in three SEMH settings in Leeds. As a psychology professional, you will have the opportunity to work with a maximum of 9 pupils in a vibrant and spacious classroom environment, providing high-quality support and development methods to help them overcome their social, emotional, and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a degree or diploma in psychology, child psychology, or equivalent.
  • Have experience working with children with SEMH or special educational needs.
  • Demonstrate methods using positive reinforcement behavior management with evidence of a positive outcome.
  • Have a clear understanding of the different social, emotional, and mental health issues pupils may have and how this may affect their day-to-day lives.
  • Be proactive and able to go above and beyond.
  • Have creative and innovative methods in your approach to supporting the pupils you will work with.
  • Must have a strong interest in working with pupils with SEMH.
  • Team Teach is desirable, but not essential, as training will be given.
