We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at Butler Rose in Newton Abbot. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance team, managing a small team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations: Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, control of P&L variances, and provide commentary and insight on the monthly management accounts.
  • Accounting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely accounting records for internal and external reporting, and maintain and oversee accounting software.
  • Treasury Management: Prepare detailed short-term cash flow and treasury management.
  • Payroll and Tax Compliance: Oversee weekly and monthly payroll and CIS payments, and ensure tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, CIS, and corporation tax.
  • Credit and Collections: Manage accounts receivable, reviewing credit risk and customer payment performance, and manage accounts payable, including monthly payment runs.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience with ERP systems such as Sage, Xero, and MS Dynamics
