Role Overview:
In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the organization's strategic vision. We are in search of an individual who is dedicated to ongoing professional growth and possesses a creative mindset for integrating cutting-edge technologies into business operations.
Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the daily management of network and server systems, ensuring alignment of IT infrastructure with both current and future organizational needs.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Group IT Manager and will involve fieldwork across various dealership locations, with occasional travel required to additional sites.
Typically, you will be visiting multiple locations each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering technical assistance and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Configuring and maintaining Cisco networking devices and Microsoft software environments.
- Establishing and upholding cybersecurity protocols to safeguard the organization’s systems and data.
- Monitoring and managing servers, storage solutions, and backup systems.
- Engaging in IT projects, encompassing planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborating with various teams to identify and address IT-related challenges.
- Documenting IT procedures and maintaining an inventory of IT assets and software.
- Staying informed about industry advancements and technologies to enhance IT infrastructure.
- Providing training and support to end-users on IT best practices.
- Assisting with IT procurement and vendor management.
- Effectively managing responsibilities and tasks, including travel to different dealership locations as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A degree in IT or a related field, or 2-3 years of relevant IT support experience.
- Desirable certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications).
- Strong understanding of networking technologies and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, Office 365, and other Microsoft applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and effective task prioritization.
- Capability to adapt to shifting priorities and work under pressure.
- A valid UK driving license is essential.
Compensation Package:
Our client offers a competitive salary of £36,000 per annum, along with a generous holiday allowance and a company-contributed pension scheme.
