About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Insolvency Administrator to join our established team in Manchester. As a key member of our Restructuring Services team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate insolvency engagements, with a focus on Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations and Administrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day case-related matters to contribute to case progression.
  • Carry out assigned duties efficiently, thoroughly, and in accordance with relevant legal and statutory obligations and the firm's procedures.
  • Manage own workflows, agreeing priorities with manager.
  • Prepare statutory notices, assist with report writing, and meet deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation of correspondence to stakeholders, including notices, decision procedures, and redundancy information.
  • Contribute to areas of investigation work to meet the requirements of SIP2 and CDDA and assist in preparing reports for submission to the Insolvency Service.
  • Assist in maintaining the receipts and payments account, preparing vouchers for the cashier team to update the case cashbook.
  • Assist in preparing VAT returns, as required.
  • Attend meetings and assist with documenting discussions at meetings for the case file, including action points to follow up.
  • Contribute to case strategy and prepare draft file notes for manager review.
  • Contribute to case reviews.
  • Assist with VAT, PAYE, and CT compliance.
  • Support the team in keeping case checklists and diaries up to date.
  • Deal with creditor queries and correspondence, logging claims received.
  • Assist with compliance regarding company records.
  • Assist with progressing asset realisations.
  • Assist with the marketing process when a business is offered for sale.
  • Assist with an on-site role in trading scenarios.
