Customs Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

Noble Recruiting is seeking a skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for arranging import clearances for our clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing within HMRC guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to obtain and provide required information for customs clearances.
  • Offer guidance on importing goods into the UK, including commodity codes, customs procedures, and general requirements.
  • Work within the standard set by our AEO accredited Freight Forwarder to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Raise invoices, including duty and VAT, and provide manual calculations of taxes as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and adapt to new requirements.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience working for a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
  • Proven track record of successful customs clearance and compliance.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

What We Offer

Noble Recruiting offers a competitive salary range of £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Working Hours

Full-time, permanent position with office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Location

Tilbury, Essex.
