Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality support to pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties in all schools across the cluster.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce exclusion rates.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to provide a comprehensive support service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support pupils with specific needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pupil support.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in pupil support or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to pupils with specific needs.
  • Willingness to undergo training and professional development opportunities.

Working Arrangements

This is a fixed-term position for a period not exceeding 23 months. The post holder will be required to work in the Ellon Cluster, with the possibility of working in other locations within the Aberdeenshire Council area.

Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults

The post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
