Job Description

The ideal candidate will focus on the design, simulation, and testing of photonic components and systems, particularly PICs for telecommunications, data centers, sensors, and other advanced applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform optical and electrical simulations to optimize the performance of photonic devices and systems, ensuring they meet stringent specifications.
  • Conduct hands-on testing and characterization of devices, analyzing results to refine and improve designs.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Use statistical tools and methods to validate design performance against theoretical models.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, test reports, and design guidelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in photonics and PIC technologies.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in photonic design software (e.g., Lumerical, Synopsys, OptiFDTD) and experience with semiconductor fabrication processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
