Job Overview

The Senior Event Producer will play a pivotal role in managing the delivery of Enable's diverse Events programme, including music concerts, community festivals, indoor and outdoor theatre, cultural celebrations, and more. This role will involve team management, mentoring less experienced event managers, and researching, developing, and designing new events as part of Enable's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the production and delivery of new events, including research, development, design, and oversight.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Events on the growth strategy linked to Enable's self-produced events.
  • Plan and manage budgets, source new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and identify revenue and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Produce all relevant production paperwork, including site plans, event management plans, safety and emergency plans.
  • Liaise with the Marketing Team to ensure they are fully briefed on marketing strategies and produce relevant marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate with statutory services, contractors, and suppliers for event productions.
  • Act as the appointed site manager and assist with event setup and dismantling, managing contractors and suppliers, and distributing and returning equipment and vehicles as required.
  • Manage the Production Team, including line management of Senior Events Production Managers, Events Managers, and freelance event managers.
  • Oversee budget creation and management, P&L reporting, and achieving targeted income set by the Head of Events.
  • Collate and review contractor H&S documentation, apply for TENS and other relevant licensing, and raise, file, and organize finance documentation.
  • Deal with client, public, and production supplier or contractor queries and complaints within agreed timeframes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in producing and delivering medium to large commercially successful public outdoor events.
  • Confidence in running large-scale events sites, leading operations, and thinking on your feet.
  • Excellent budget skills and a keen understanding of creating commercially successful events.
  • Fastidious attention to detail and ability to produce relevant production paperwork.
  • Experience with working across multiple large-scale budgets and staying on top of finance administration.
  • Previous line or team management experience.
  • Passion for creating events to entertain a wide-ranging audience and diverse community.
  • Exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with senior management, staff, clients, and the public.
  • Patience and ability to negotiate professionally with suppliers.
  • Ability to enforce measures to meet health and safety legislation or prescribed terms and conditions.
  • Hands-on and proactive onsite, with a focus on creating the best event possible.
  • A team player with the ability to manage your workload independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience with Xero or other accounting software.
  • Personal Licence (can be obtained on joining, required for Premises Licence and TEN applications).
