Position Overview
The Cardiology Division is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Interventional Cardiologist to enhance our TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) team. Our Trust acknowledges the pressing demands within the cardiology sector and is committed to expanding our services. This role will play a pivotal part in the growth of our TAVI program, ensuring that we provide timely and exceptional care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, you will:
- Collaborate with Dr. Raj Chelliah and the TAVI team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of the aortic stenosis and cardiology services.
- Participate in the day-time on-call rota as the Consultant of the week.
- Engage in clinical governance and audit activities to maintain the highest standards of care.

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a prominent regional provider of cardiology services, catering to a diverse patient population. Our facilities include state-of-the-art cardiac catheter labs and dedicated wards, supported by a team of experienced cardiac physiologists.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- MRCP or equivalent qualifications.
- Specialist registration in Cardiology or eligibility within six months of interview.
- Training in TAVI and proficiency in all aspects of PCI.
