About the Role

The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming components and final inspection of valves prior to dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming components for defects and return defective product to suppliers
  • Use internal software and systems to accept and reject components
  • Perform final inspection of valves, working to shop floor paperwork and inspection procedures
  • Complete QC paperwork to ensure orders can be dispatched to customers

Requirements

  • Mechanically trained or industry experienced
  • Computer literate
  • Machine shop/automotive experience preferred
  • Hands-on practical inspection ability
  • Ability to demonstrate mechanical inspection and measurement skills using inspection equipment
  • Working knowledge of basic quality requirements to conduct piece-part inspection and final inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD produced technical drawings
  • Experience working to ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • Ability to read General Arrangement drawings, preferably in imperial measurements
  • Experience using plug gauges, micrometers, height gauges, and verniers to measure CNC machined parts with tight tolerances
  • Familiarity with using FARO arm or CMM measuring machines, training will be provided
