Job Title: Chartered Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team at Carrington West. As a key member of our Property & Building Control division, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on the design, construction, and maintenance of residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance on building surveys, maintenance, and refurbishment projects
  • Conduct thorough building surveys to identify defects and recommend remedial works
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and technical standards
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of buildings
  • Analyze and report on building defects, identifying root causes and recommending solutions
  • Handle claims and negotiations with loss adjusters, preparing drawings and specifications for remedial work
  • Provide expert advice on planning applications, appeals, and boundary disputes
Requirements:
  • BSc (Hons) Building Surveying or equivalent RICS-accredited degree
  • Full membership of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • Proven experience in building surveying, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results
