Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead our maintenance team towards a full Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and preventative mindset, ensuring maintenance operations are conducted safely and in-line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the maintenance team to achieve TPM goals, focusing on proactive and preventative maintenance.
  2. Ensure maintenance operations are conducted safely, adhering to HASAWA 1974 regulations.
  3. Collaborate with production planning to ensure equipment PM is completed on time.
  4. Develop and implement corrective actions to address maintenance issues.
  5. Design and implement safety measures to guarantee a safe working environment during maintenance operations.
  6. Ensure repairs are performed with a 'right first time' mindset, followed by thorough completion.
  7. Lead major technical maintenance operations, including toggle replacements, pump repairs, and hydraulic seal replacements.
  8. Communicate directly with equipment suppliers to ensure prompt response to breakdowns.
  9. Lead in-house electrical installation, including testing and certification.
  10. Assume Site Electrical Duty Holder responsibilities.

Requirements

  1. Experience in injection moulding.
  2. BS7671 18th edition and City and Guilds 2382 qualification.
  3. City and Guilds 2391, 2395, or equivalent in electrical inspection and testing.
  4. Familiarity with BS7671, EAWR89, and HASAWA 1974.
  5. Multiskilled in Electrics, Hydraulics, and Mechanics.
  6. Strong troubleshooting skills in Electrics, Hydraulics, and Mechanics.
  7. Experience with CMMS systems.
  8. Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical).
  9. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  11. Good time management and organization skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
