About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to join our team at Irwin & Colton. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the EH&S Manager to provide expert advice and support to operational teams on EH&S matters.
  2. Manage and monitor EH&S management systems, ensuring they are clear, concise, and fully maintained.
  3. Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste processes and promote safety awareness across the organization.
  4. Coordinate EH&S training and support risk assessors to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  5. Conduct internal audits, manage first aid and fire safety reps, and recommend safety controls like PPE.
  6. Investigate incidents, report findings, and conduct health and safety inspections.
Requirements
  1. Practical experience in manufacturing and strong knowledge of EH&S legislation.
  2. NEBOSH qualification and ability to write clear, concise reports.
  3. Experience implementing and updating EH&S policies, with a track record of advising managers.
  4. Proven ability to drive a safety culture and proficiency in using MS Office.
