Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Cooplands Bakery in Durham. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform repairs as needed.
  • Coordinate the procurement of spare parts and materials.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Bakery Management to plan and prioritize maintenance activities.
  • Monitor maintenance costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
  • Lead on-site maintenance activities in the absence of the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer with ONC/HNC Electrical Engineering qualification preferred.
  • Previous experience in electrical maintenance within a food production environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and innovative approach to work.
