Job Title: Senior Electrical Control Engineer

Nuvia UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Control Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Control Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and distributing the scope of work to ensure that projects are executed safely, on time, and at appropriate levels of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop designs to satisfy technical specifications
  • Produce design deliverables throughout the design process
  • Check and approve discipline-specific design deliverables
  • Contribute to design reviews and safety reviews
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of design documentation throughout all phases of the design process
  • Comply with safety legislation and statutory regulations
  • Develop cost-effective technical solutions
  • Manage safety by developing and reinforcing the safety culture
  • Manage contractors
  • Provide technical consultancy
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant technical/engineering discipline or demonstrable experience
  • Working towards or already have Chartership in a discipline-specific engineering institution
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals within your engineering discipline
  • Significant experience in two or more of the following specific EC&I areas: Mechanical Handling, Process Instrumentation, Functional Safety, Machinery Safety, LV Distribution Systems
  • Previous experience of working within the nuclear industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering design solutions
  • Understanding of design requirements to support nuclear safety cases
  • Good understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Good level of commercial awareness
  • Experience of leading design teams
  • Experience of managing sub-contracts
