Job Opportunity: Refrigeration Engineer
Randstad CPE is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Contractor in Brighton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timescales and response times.
- Identify non-repairable faults promptly and advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations for suitable replacements.
- Ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in accordance with laid-down procedures.
- Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always up to date.
- Participate in an out-of-hours standby rota and arrange communication of any cover required due to holidays or unforeseen circumstances to the Line Manager.
- Be aware of regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks.
- Order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
- Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job to carry out repairs as necessary.
- Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Refrigeration Supervisor/RFM.
- Complete all work to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
- Attend training courses as necessary and ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
- Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
Requirements:
- NVQ/C&G Refrigeration Based Qualification or similar

- Mechanical Knowledge
