About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthoptic Specialist to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As an Orthoptic Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our orthoptic services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide clinical services at our main base and community locations, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  2. Develop and maintain clinical skills to educate and support Undergraduate Orthoptic students, Junior Doctors, Student Nurses, Optometrists, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team, including Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, Optometrists, medical photographers, nurses, clerical staff, and secretarial staff.
  4. Cover for colleagues during periods of sick leave and annual leave, ensuring continuity of care for our patients.
  5. Contribute to the development of our orthoptic services, including the delivery of high-quality patient care and the development of new clinical skills.
