Job Description

Role Overview

As a Learning Support Assistant at Academics, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviours, mental health needs, and SEMH requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in small groups to engage with their education and regulate their emotions.
  • Help students manage their behaviours appropriately and develop strategies for self-regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.

Requirements

  • Resilience and ability to motivate pupils who may be disengaged from education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
