Job Title: School Cook

At Inspired Education Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Cook to join our team at Davenport Lodge Nursery School. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our students, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase fresh ingredients and manage stock levels to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve children's breakfast, lunch, and tea, adhering to health and safety guidelines and local environmental regulations.
  • Assist the chef with meal preparation and presentation, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet the school's nutritional standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance with Ofsted Daycare Standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food service and maintain a positive working environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a school or nursery kitchen environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality food service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, food hygiene regulations, and nutritional standards.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
