Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced NDT/ANDT Technical Support Lead to join our team at Oceaneering. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our offshore and onshore projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the provision of NDT and Advanced NDT technical support to Group projects, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures, work scope requirements, budgets, and plans.
  • Review and evaluate current practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with NDT/ANDT Lead and Subject Matter Experts to support Group Projects and Branch Operations with scope definition, personnel, duration, and equipment requirements.
  • Liaise with Group Projects Manager, Branch Operations, and Clients to ensure resource allocation for inspection opportunities.
  • Provide technical input to Group Projects Manager and Branch Operations for annual budgets, proposals, and CTRs.
  • Support the development and updating of NDT workflows, processes, and procedures.
  • Verify NDT reports for accuracy against procedure, scope of work, and store them for audit purposes.
  • Support regular audits and assessments as required by Group project teams and clients.
  • Support Operations with creating training plans to develop technicians within projects.
  • Monitor technicians' performance on projects and conduct appraisals.
  • Support Group Projects/Operations with disciplinary actions for technicians as needed.
  • Support Operations with addressing complaints from technicians.
  • Support Group Project Managers with investigations of customer complaints.
  • Support Group Projects with hiring personnel to cover project work scopes.
  • Conduct safety and technical pre-mob briefs for NDT and Advanced NDT as required.
  • Conduct toolbox talks for NDT and Advanced NDT as required.
  • Perform call-out duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Good level of NDT experience and qualifications in core NDT methods, including ultrasonic and radiography, and advanced methods.
  • Ability to support writing and updating NDT processes, procedures, and manuals.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in an NDT or engineering discipline.
  • Previous NDT role experience.
  • Good understanding and experience of Advanced NDT methods.
  • Offshore and onshore experience.
  • Experience with other software platforms, such as Visio.
