This role will focus on advanced research within the Joint UK Land Environment Simulator (JULES) initiative, utilizing high-performance computing resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments that analyze the CO2 responses of various vegetation types.
  • Investigate regional carbon sink dynamics through sophisticated modeling techniques.
  • Utilize climate model data to inform and enhance experimental outcomes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A PhD or an equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in operating land models, particularly those based on JULES frameworks.
  • Familiarity with climate modeling datasets and their applications.
  • Possession of security clearance for independent work within sensitive environments.

Immediate availability and eligibility to work in the UK are essential for this position.
