We are seeking a skilled Regional Operations Manager to oversee a designated area, ensuring the effective management of company-owned fuel stations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial performance of the assigned fuel stations.
- This is a field-based role requiring travel and occasional overnight stays for operational duties and meetings.
- Engage with designated suppliers and third-party stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Health & Safety standards to maintain a secure environment for employees and customers.
- Safeguard company assets and property.
- Conduct monthly fuel audits at each station to verify financial transactions and secure fuel inventory.
- Perform regular evaluations of shop and forecourt operations to ensure adherence to company policies and optimize performance.
- Manage and assess the performance of Station Managers and staff, ensuring consistent customer service excellence.
- Ensure correct pricing strategies for fuel to maximize profit margins.
- Facilitate effective merchandising and promotional activities to boost sales and attract customers.
- Review product offerings at each station to enhance revenue and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze company expenditures for each station to identify areas for improvement.
- Address customer complaints and ensure satisfactory resolutions, including necessary retraining.
- Coordinate with external contractors to manage maintenance issues and monitor equipment functionality.
- Support and execute tasks as directed by line management.
- Ensure all Station Managers fulfill their responsibilities within specified timelines and submit accurate reports.
- Guide and motivate Station Managers through performance reviews and audits to foster business success.
- Liaise with relevant head office departments to resolve operational challenges.
- Engage with suppliers to ensure compliance with delivery protocols.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies as required.
- Stay informed about competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in the retail or fuel industry.
- Exhibit high self-motivation, discipline, and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Possess strong leadership qualities to inspire and guide a team.
- Maintain a good level of numeracy and attention to detail.
- Operate efficiently to achieve objectives within established deadlines.
