Job Overview

**Senior Energy and Emissions Adviser**

**About the Role**

This is a senior position in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, supporting the Energy & Emissions Manager in driving the energy transition of the UK business.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Collaborate with the Energy & Emissions Manager to develop and deliver the UK Business Units' climate change and energy transition commitments, ensuring alignment with the Company's net-zero commitment.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations, to influence and inform business decisions.
  • Provide expert advice on asset lifecycle energy transition requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Company commitments.
  • Develop and coordinate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions forecasts to inform the net-zero strategy, business development, and long-range planning.

**Requirements**

  • Relevant degree-qualified environmental science or environmental engineering professional with extensive industry experience.
  • Member of a professional body, with ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and working towards Chartered status.
  • Experience working in a team with oil and gas operating assets, wells, and project developments in an environmentally related role.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across the business and HSE team.
