About the Role

The Finance Platform Functional Analyst plays a crucial role in providing technical guidance and expertise in the support, development, implementation, and optimization of the Finance platform at Unite Students. This position ensures that the platform is efficient and equipped with the latest features and functionalities to support finance-related operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Enterprise Systems and business processes, working to resolve issues alongside key users and 3rd party support partners.
  • Deliver system changes and enhancements to improve business processes and provide the right tools for key users, working with Managed Service providers where appropriate.
  • Support Unite Students' future Enterprise Systems as they come online.
  • Manage the team's workload, ensuring priorities are met.
  • Own, improve, and deliver a change process to promote fixes and changes in line with business priorities and team workload.
  • Log and respond to support calls within agreed SLA targets in a professional and courteous manner, escalating calls internally or externally.
  • Own, create, and maintain system documentation supporting IT and business requirements.
  • Engage with other business functions to identify requirements for new initiatives driving improvements across core systems.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with customers and colleagues through strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Manage the UAT process for system changes and patching, coordinating and analyzing testing scenarios, executing tests where necessary, and supporting key users.
  • Schedule patches, upgrades, and code releases in line with business priorities and team workload.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and expertise of Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, and Oracle Financials.
  • Knowledge and experience of providing support and analysis for large-scale/tier 1 ERP systems.
  • Experience of supporting and delivering IT change and IT projects.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to liaise comfortably with key stakeholders, translating business language into functional and technical solutions.
  • Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Oracle, Azure).
  • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative, prioritizing and owning work assigned.
  • Experience of using IT support tools (Project Management, ITSM, Development, and Deployment).
