About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reporting Actuary to join our team at Vitality. As a key member of our Actuarial Health department, you will play a critical role in providing strategic insights and data analysis to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Valuation and Reporting: Complete the valuation of VitalityHealth, including recommending assumption changes and working with the Audit and Governance teams.
  • Business Intelligence: Translate recent trend and experience data into profitability insights to support the business in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Business Planning: Drive the business plan projections, including detailed investigations into trends and experience, while working with peers.
  • Process Improvement: Continually enhance existing processes and insights in a well-controlled environment, ensuring strong governance is implemented throughout all processes in the team.
  • Team Development: Develop the skilled team members who report to you.
Essential Skills
  • Qualified Actuary with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in reporting.
  • Previous experience managing a number of students.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong capabilities with coding, such as SQL and Power BI, to help develop the team's skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
