Key Responsibilities- Dispense and issue medicines from the pharmacy department, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide an effective medicine supply service to wards and departments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Receive medicines into the pharmacy department, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and computer entry.
- Maintain medicines supplies, analyzing reports to identify stock and named patient supplies.
- Supervise the work of pharmacy assistants, prioritizing tasks and ensuring a high standard of work.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy services, working collaboratively with the pharmacy team.
- Contribute to the training and development of staff, ensuring a high standard of knowledge and skills.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Numerate skills, able to carry out simple calculations.
- Knowledge of procedures for own pharmacy area, with on-the-job training and experience to NVQ3 or equivalent level.
- Knowledge of stock control systems and storage of medication.
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use different IT applications.
- Methodical approach with attention to detail.
- Ability to train others and work as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to change and show initiative.
