Job Title: Android Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Android Software Engineer to join our team at Leap29. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Android Java or Kotlin application design and development, as well as knowledge of the software development life cycle. You will work closely with our engineering team to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop Android applications for embedded media players, integrating with existing API content management systems and interfacing with external peripherals.
  2. Modify Android software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
  3. Direct system testing and validation procedures to ensure the highest quality of our applications.
  4. Collaborate with our engineering team to develop software programming and documentation.
  5. Analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
  6. Consult with our engineering team to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  2. Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  3. Proven experience working with Android Java or Kotlin with embedded systems.
  4. Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  5. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
  6. Creativity and independent thinking are highly valued.
