Temporary Special Needs Teaching Assistants – Penzance

We are collaborating with a Special Needs institution in Penzance that is in need of extra assistance from Teaching Assistants. This establishment serves children with Special Needs from Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 5. All students possess Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and have various additional requirements, including Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, visual and/or hearing impairments, along with a range of complex needs.

GSL Education is looking for individuals with prior experience as SEN Teaching Assistants or those who possess valuable transferable skills, such as support or care work.

Please note that personal care duties may be involved.


Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Penzance

Compensation: £83.33 per day
Type of Employment: Short-term supply, available in part-time or full-time roles, with longer-term opportunities.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience.
  • Applicants with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students throughout their educational journey as a Special Needs Assistant.
