CNC Machining Technician Role

We are seeking skilled CNC Machining Technicians for a prominent organization that excels in gear manufacturing and precision engineering across diverse industries such as Aerospace, Defense, Medical, and Metrology. The position involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes in a dynamic work environment.

Compensation Package:

• Attractive salary range of £35,000 to £40,000
• Standard working hours from Monday to Thursday (07:30 - 16:30) and Friday (07:30 - 13:30)

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathe machinery to manufacture high-precision components
• Implement innovative production methods
• Maintain rigorous quality assurance standards in accordance with AS9100:2018 or ISO9001:2008 protocols

Candidate Requirements:

• Proficient in interpreting technical engineering drawings
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Skilled in utilizing various measurement tools
• Expertise in CNC programming, particularly with Fanuc, Haas, and Okuma systems
• Familiarity with offline programming techniques

Educational Background:

• BTEC in Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Previous experience as a CNC Setter Programmer and Operator with CAD/CAM knowledge
• Experience with a variety of CNC Lathes, including Citizen Sliding Head Lathes, Okuma Lathes, and Haas Lathes
• Demonstrated proficiency in turning operations involving complex processes and specialized materials
