Job Summary

Talent UK is seeking a skilled Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our team in Bradford. Our client is a well-established law firm looking for a full-time permanent employee to work Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00, 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Conveyancing team in processing a varied caseload of sale, purchase, and freehold transactions.
  • Provide a professional, helpful, and friendly service to clients.
  • Process client instructions, ID, proof of address, and source of funds in line with the firm's Anti-Money Laundering protocol.
  • Update the Case Management system in accordance with department procedures as the matter progresses.
  • Issue contracts on sale files and assist in dealing with replies to enquiries raised by a buyer's solicitor.
  • Order searches and deal with exchanges and related paperwork.
  • Set up and deal with sale and purchase completions, including pre-completion search requests and certificate of title submissions.
  • Obtain redemption figures on sale files.
  • Issue Mortgage reports to clients.
  • Issue Search reports to clients.
  • Deal with incoming post and client and estate agents' telephone enquiries.
  • Filing, billing, photocopying, and file closing as required.
  • General administration duties for the department as required.

Key Skills Essential

  • Proficient IT skills with experience of a case management system, lender, and Land Registry Portals.
  • Literate and numerate.
  • Ability to work accurately in accordance with the requirements of the team.
  • Ability to deal with enquiries in a customer-friendly and effective manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Experience is essential with ideally 36+ months gained within a residential conveyancing department.
