Job Title: Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a supervisory and engineering service, supporting launch-related activities, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, on-cost product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide a supervisory and engineering service to support site development and launch activities.
2. Support with all launch-related activities, including direct line management, coaching, and training of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
3. Direct line management, coaching, and training of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
4. Accountability for Project management of all aspects of M.E projects to support site development and launch.
5. Plan the workload for specific major projects across production shutdown periods.
6. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, on-cost product launches.
7. Preparation of RFQ's, contract review, and risk management.
8. Support continuous improvement activities.
9. Liaise with outside contractors as required.
10. Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed to a satisfactory standard and following up on any deficiencies.
11. Successful coordination of running changes.
12. Implementation and team adherence to IAC Project Management Systems.
13. Manage plant interface in support of Program targets.
14. Maintain IAC and personal credibility with the customer and balance of customer relationship and IAC profitability.
15. Ensure Launch Readiness Reviews are complete and updated as required.
16. Support customer launch meetings.
17. Ensure Engineering and Launch KPI's are updated timely.
18. Ownership of resolution to off-standards.
19. Launch Readiness Documents – identify and lead to resolution of key issues.
20. Clearly identify and follow up issues requiring management intervention.
21. Support management of launch process and launch reviews.
22. Apply, execute, and maintain function-related Project Milestones/Timing Plans.
23. Ensure continuity on current engineering and project deliverables.

Requirements:

1. Candidates must be time-served multi-skilled Engineers, preferably certified to HND/degree level.
2. Proven experience of Engineering, preferably within a high-volume, automotive manufacturing environment.
3. Competent in Microsoft Office.
4. Excellent organisational and communicational skills as well as a strong sense of urgency and an ability to work under pressure.
5. Experienced in managing and delivering significant capex projects.
6. Able to liaise professionally at ALL levels within and outside the Company.
7. Knowledge of customer base, manufacturing processes and capabilities, company products, technology, and efficiency.
8. Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
9. Experience working within a JIT/Learn manufacturing environment.
10. Working knowledge of MES, DC tooling, EOL electrical test, and Vision systems is advantageous.
