Lead Engineer

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00

Salary: £50,000

Location: Skelmersdale

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join our team at Winsearch. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, and improving equipment in our manufacturing facility to maximize productivity while minimizing costs.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Qualifications or time-served experience in working on food production equipment.

The Role

  • Perform PPM servicing and reactive maintenance on equipment, including multi-head weighers, VFFS bagging machines, case tapers, and conveyors.
  • Develop and improve electrical control systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage capital asset installation projects in conjunction with the Factory Manager.
  • Conduct general maintenance, including building repairs.
  • Manage and order engineering spares.

Key Skills

  • Electrical and mechanical engineering expertise.
  • Experience with PPM servicing and reactive maintenance.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
