About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Caring Homes Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective meal preparation and service
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in the kitchen
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize resources
  • Collaborate with care staff and residents to understand their needs and preferences
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a care home or similar setting
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition and dietetics
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Food Hygiene certificate and/or City and Guilds 706 1&2 (or equivalent)
