Senior Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join our team in Norwich. As a Senior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate site activities, including setting out, excavation, and construction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in heavy civils engineering, with a strong background in site management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in setting out using a fully robotic total station, with experience in issuing permits and dealing with paperwork.
  • SMSTS and CSCS certifications, with a strong understanding of civils projects and machine control.
