We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Acute Inpatient ward in Bodmin and providing clinical leadership to junior doctors, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the clinical workload of patients within the ward areas, including professional supervision of junior medical staff.
- Support the education and training of junior medical staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively, maintaining up-to-date patient records and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines.
- Participate in service and business planning activities, working closely with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services.
- Attend and participate in the academic program of the Trust, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD program.
- Contribute to the development of job plans and participate in annual appraisals, ensuring that your role is aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.

Requirements- Recognized medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register or a Specialty Trainee within 6 months of gaining CCT.
- Eligibility for Section 12 and AC Approval.
- Experience in assessing and treating mental health patients in out-patient and community settings.
- Knowledge and evidence of participation in CPD.
- Prior experience working in a rehabilitation service.
