As we continue to expand and grow, we are seeking a motivated and talented Corporate Solicitor to join our dynamic team.

The Role

We are seeking an Associate Court of Protection Solicitor to join our Court of Protection department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team that focuses on safeguarding and supporting vulnerable people. Our team offers advice on various Court of Protection issues, with a particular emphasis on protecting and supporting vulnerable individuals. We assist our clients in managing their property and financial affairs, and our team deals with a substantial number of clients who have been appointed as deputies, handling their financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively handle a mixed caseload, including brain injury and elderly client matters
  • Supervise the management of client property and financial matters
  • Provide support to both adult and child clients
  • Foster and maintain enduring client relationships
  • Deal with the routine management of deputyship and personal injury trusts with appropriate supervision and guidance from senior team members
  • Liaise with clients, their families, case managers, and other professionals, handling all matters with appropriate sensitivity
  • Work closely with the firm's Personal Injury and Medical Negligence solicitors on litigating cases
  • Assist senior team members with complex cases
  • Draft applications to the Court of Protection
  • Draft annual Deputy Reports
  • Co-ordinate interim billing and the detailed assessment of our professional costs
  • Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in Court of Protection
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach
  • Strong commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest legal trends and precedents
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
