Project Details:
The project entails a comprehensive design and construction initiative aimed at enhancing a major roadway. The focus will be on upgrading existing infrastructure while maintaining accessibility for local traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer will report directly to the Section Manager and will be tasked with:
- Planning and coordinating activities related to the main project site.
- Managing the layout and functionality of the main office compound, including office arrangements, parking, pedestrian pathways, and storage areas.
- Conducting thorough reviews of project drawings, specifications, and site surveys to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Overseeing drainage-related tasks, including the assessment of existing systems and materials.
Quality Assurance:
As part of the role, the Project Engineer will:
- Complete quality checklists in accordance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct safety inspections and workplace assessments.
- Perform utility surveys prior to excavation activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Conduct site surveys and produce detailed sketches of construction processes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A valid CSCS card relevant to the role.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the civil engineering sector.
- Optional qualifications such as a Safety Critical Medical and AutoCAD proficiency.
