Spire Elland Hospital is seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse Practitioner to join its Theatre team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for scrubbing for major and minor cases, including Orthopaedics, General, and Thoracic procedures. They will also support in assessing patient health and well-being, assisting in the delivery of care to meet patient needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scrub for complex surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Assess patient health and well-being, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to quality enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care, promoting best practice and contributing to quality improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a working environment that prioritizes health, safety, and security, and infection control.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner or NMC registration as a Nurse Scrub.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working in teams and with minimal supervision.
