Exciting Opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist Research Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced clinical pharmacist to join our team as a Clinical Pharmacist Research Fellow. This is a unique opportunity to work in a joint appointment between Aston University and The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust (DGFT), implementing pharmacy education reforms and advancing clinical research practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient wards at DGFT, supporting the directorate team.
  • Conduct clinical service evaluations, assessing the impact of pharmacist interventions on patient care, medication safety, and healthcare outcomes.
  • Lead and manage research projects in collaboration with Aston, fostering collaboration between the organisations.
  • Provide education and training on research methodologies, evidence-based practice, and pharmacotherapy topics.
About the Role

This is a 50:50 split between DGFT and Aston University. As a Clinical Pharmacist Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, contributing to the development of clinical pharmacy services and advancing research practice.

Requirements
  • MPharm or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Postgraduate Diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience/qualification.
  • Independent prescriber and registered with the GPhC or willing to work towards after appointment.
  • Postgraduate Masters or doctorate in a relevant subject or discipline or willing to work towards.
