About the Role

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established planning consultancy based in the UK, looking to appoint a motivated Town Planner to work on an exciting variety of projects for private sector clients across the country.

The Role

You will be responsible for working proactively and at your own initiative on a range of planning applications and planning appeals with an emphasis on residential and renewable energy projects including site reviews, planning applications and appeals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working on a diverse range and scale of projects, primarily responsible for the stream of residential and renewable energy planning.
  • Autonomy is a given and you will put your own stamp on projects, nurture client relationships, and assist with managing and coaching planners whilst handling your own caseload from inception to completion.
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team of chartered architects, landscape architects and engineers to find holistic solutions for challenging commissions.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Ideal MRTPI qualification or close to submission
  • 2-4 years' plus relevant experience
  • RTPI accredited degree
