HR Advisor Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team in Chesterfield. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management and longer-term development of our HR support service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support recruitment activity, including advertising, candidate sifting, and arranging interviews.
  • Deliver new starter inductions and manage employee onboarding.
  • Manage and report absence, ensuring adherence to policy and supporting managers with long-term absences/capability cases.
  • Coach and guide managers on employee relations activities throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain policy documents.
  • Support performance management processes and lead on recruitment activity.
  • Advise on employment law and best practice, and manage ER issues including discipline, grievance, and redundancy.
  • Produce monthly MI and statistics reports to measure HR inputs, costs, and successes.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years HR experience, ideally with exposure to recruitment.
  • Current knowledge of employment law and applications.
  • Proven ability to manage a full range of generalist HR processes.
  • Ability to influence/coach line managers.
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
  • Car owner/driver – essential for frequent travel to office locations.
  • IT skills and experience using MS packages.
